Dense Fog this evening; light shower/sprinkles possible as well; cooler & drier for the upcoming week

Areas of dense fog have formed, so please be careful on the roads this evening.  The widespread rain has ended, but a light shower or sprinkle is still possible tonight with a low near 50.   Sunday will be mostly cloudy (though some sun is possible) and cooler with a high in the mid 50′s.  Some sunshine will return for early next week and cooler & drier weather will continue for much of the week with temperatures more typical for early February.

Saturday night – Dense fog with scattered light showers/sprinkles possible with a low of 50

Sunday – Mostly cloudy & cooler (with some sun possible); brisk northwest wind with a high of 56

Sunday night – Partly cloudy with a low of 37

Monday – Becoming mostly sunny with a high of 56

Tuesday – Sunshine mixing with clouds during the afternoon with a of high 58 and a low of 30

Wednesday – Partly sunny with a high of 60 and a low of 35

Thursday – Partly sunny; high 58 and a low of 35

Friday – A mixture of clouds & sun with showers possible with a high of 56 and a low of 32

 

Follow-up on Saturday – 1.3 inches of rain fell in Starkville between noon and 4:00 pm.
